Sir Alex Ferguson's helicopter was spotted hovering above Manchester City's training ground last week.
The Sunday Mirror says Ferguson’s helicopter was spotted flying over City’s training ground yesterday.
After circling twice over the City players as they made their final preparations for today’s Old Trafford derby, it landed at Manchester United’s training centre to pick up manager Ferguson and take him to Newbury races.
City officials wondered if they were the victims of a spying mission, with their arch-rivals wanting to know any last-minute secrets.
The training grounds are a mile apart.
Chelsea were famously accused of buzzing the United training ground in a plane in January 2007.
