Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez is shocked that a coin was thrown in his direction during Sunday’s derby at Manchester United.
The missile struck City teammate Javier Garrido and Tevez said: "It was incredible because I have never seen something like that happen in the two years I played at Old Trafford.
"If this person really has thrown the object at me then it would be right if United were to exclude him.
"The atmosphere was very negative towards us but it didn't affect our game. The score was unjust. The amount of extra-time was exaggerated but now we look forward to the return match and we feel obliged to beat United.
"I must admit I did believe I would get a different reception from the United supporters. Initially everything was positive and I was greeted by my former team-mates and United staff without any problems at all.
"But as soon as I entered the field the atmosphere was very different. It was hard to take because previously I was always wanted by those people. But I suppose in football situations change."
Yeah, quite surprised they booed Tevez...
It's because you're on the wrong side now, dawg.
And becoz u keep charging at Ben Foster too
and assisted Bellamy to his goal ![]()
well, no one is bigger than the club...
while tevez wanted to stay in mufc, he wanted it on his terms.. regular games but he didn't fit in.. he was being turned into the role of the super-sub... something i guess he didn't want to be...
in the end, he went out and started asking other clubs to come get him.. people see that and do not appreciate it...
it was the same for adebayor... only he didn't want to stay in arsenal, he went out of his way to get booted out and played like crap..
no one likes anyone who leaves and then slags off the old club..
notice how people still love those who went respectfully? people like Thierry Henry from Arsenal, Batistuta from Fiorentina?
players respect the club, the fans will respect the player right back...
looks like money makes the world go round..
Whether they boo or cheer, the salary still remains the same.
Not say you get paid more for opposing fans cheering you on right? ![]()
