FIFA ban Brunei (September 30, 2009)

The Football Association of Brunei Darussalam has been suspended indefinitely by FIFA due to "government interference''.
FIFA's ruling came about following the Brunei government's decision to create a new national governing body.
"The Football Association of Brunei Darussalam (BAFA) was suspended due to government interference in its affairs which started with a decision by the Brunei authorities to dissolve the BAFA and to replace it with a new association,'' read a FIFA statement.
"The suspension applies with immediate effect and means that Brunei club DPMM will no longer be permitted to play in the Singapore S-League."The suspension will run until the BAFA is reinstated by the government.''
DPMM are fourth in the S-League, with five matches left to play.

Its a real pity to hear this. Brunei DPMM had been a strong team throughout the Sleague. =X -

Odds was @ 18.00.
Brunei is currently in the fourth position.
If there hadnt been a big ban on its 4 players. I guess Brunei would have done better. =) -

Brunei helped me won close to $100+ over the entire season. That is why I was willing to give $10... Just to show my support! =)
