Middlesbrough loan signing Caleb Folan has slammed his Hull City manager Phil Brown.
The Republic of Ireland ace, 26, was booted out by Brown two months ago after failing to shine in the Premier League.
At the time, Brown questioned Folan's attitude in training and his top-flight credentials.
The ex-Chesterfield and Wigan player is on loan at Middlesbrough but can now forget about a long-term KC Stadium future after this verbal blast.
Folan said: "I have done nothing but perform to my best every day I have been at Hull.
"Every day I was there I have probably been the best trainer, so for him to come out with comments like that, it was quite embarrassing really.
"It is just childish, pathetic and laughable. It's very strange because it's a good set-up there - I just think they are not being managed in the right way.
"It was difficult to hear, but that is his kind of way and if he wants to come out with stupid comments like that then let him be.
"Most importantly for him, he needs to concentrate on managing the team as a team.
"They are not doing very well and comments like that to the Press are not on - not for players who worked hard in the time they were there, and people know that."
