SINGAPORE: SingTel unveiled its price plans for the Barclays Premier League on Saturday, which it won three—year exclusive broadcast rights to, commencing August 2010.
The Barclays Premier League will cost S$23 (excluding GST) per month and will include all 380 Premier League matches, as well as a high—definition set—top box.
As an additional bonus, customers who sign a one—year plan to watch these matches will also enjoy the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League at no additional cost till May 2011.
Customers who enjoy other sports will also have the option to subscribe to a wider range of sports programmes at S$25 (excluding GST) per month on mio TV.
Besides the Barclays Premier League, this will include other content which will be revealed once the composition of the additional channels is confirmed.
SingTel said more pricing and promotional information, as well as sign—up details will be announced shortly.

Eh singtel, fuck you understand. Do you sincerly think that by having the rights to top European football, we'll all flock to you like eager beavers? While you sit in your office and kiao kar, the CONSUMERS are the one SUFFERING.
I sincerely hope that this new venture would bring about your downfall. ALL SINGAPOREANS BOYCOTT!!

i'm with you
i would rather watch on the net, although not so good quality, but it's better than allowing singtel to benefit from it.
unless the rights return to starhub, if not im not moving.

i think it's only singtel launching huge amount. what singtel is doing, is exactly what man city is doing.
they think like that can buy title arh?
singtel think like that can buy customers arh?

world cup not confirm yet sia!
i read from straits times, they say none of the two have the rights yet -.-
but if it's with starhub, im staying with them for another month then.
if not meaning the day the season end, is the day i cancel sport channels

I still suspect a wayang going on and on and on...
The question is, who were the ones holding the auction in the first place?
I don't think its the English FA doing the auctions themselves... No news is made of this, is it the MDA or some local organization who buy the rights (cheaply as there isn't any one else buying) and hold an auction and let S & S wayang us all?
And secondly, after so many years, why isn't it made known officially the price of the winning bid? I had enough of the "rumour to be" , "believed to be" , "said to be" just give us the actual sum, is it so difficult to count?
Starhub and Singtel are public listed companies, they should be made to declare the sum they spent and justify it to their shareholders... There is no transparency here... I am still a Singtel shareholder leh...
And Malaysia has 5 to 6 times more population than us, so how come it's Sg who is paying the most in SEA?
Really weird...
of course its a wayang..i remember paying only 4 bucks a month in 2002?but they cannot keep increasing the price when they're only the sole bidders, so what they did was to get singtel in, so they can use competitor as a excuse..but who really knows how much they bidded? just like the champions league, starhub hardly even threatened..there's something fishy going on..
time to sign for skysports online streaming
one question
Does Malaysia and indonesia watch BPL for free?
if that the casue, are we able to get those set up box so we can watch from Malaysia or indonesia channel?
