Roy Hodgson, 62, has signed a new 12-month rolling contract that will guarantee his short-term future with west London outfit Fulham.
Due to the transformation that Hodgson has overseen during his tenure wit the Craven Cottage club (Fulham escaped relegation upon his arrival before being guided to their highest ever league finish last season), the experienced manager had been linked with a return to international football.
The veteran boss revealed that, earlier in the season, he had been sounded out as a possible target for the respective hotseats of Scandinavian nations Sweden and Norway, both of whom Hodgson has a "great affiliation for".
However, he spurned the advances and has now been rewarded with a new deal at SW6.
A statement on the club's official website read: "Fulham are delighted to confirm that manager Roy Hodgson has signed a new 12-month rolling contract with the club."
Hodgson was keen to add: "I'm delighted to have committed my future to Fulham for the years to come."
