last wc 13 matches already 30 goals
swiss been pulling from start till end. but their counter attack are superb..
spain need to win ...hon is easy but chille.. bit tough.
hahahaha! fucking spanish lost.
Best gk
Best def
Best mid
Best att.
Still can lose, arrogant bastards.
they had nvr been arrogant luh.
but then again, spain have only themselve to blame for not finishing chances
poor spain, attack like a psychopath but still got beaten
bravo swiss
Lai lai
own up, who itch backside took spain on 1x2 and handicapp -1.5?
Bookies and Singapore Pools are the biggest winners... Cos who in their right mind would place bet on Switzerland...
This is the biggest shock result of this tournament so far...
And Fergie should start to get to work on signing this Swiss keeper...
even with torres and fabregas not 100% match fit, but then Spain should be able to dispose of switzerland. sure they have lots of possesion, but the final ball wasnt there. spain is still the choker at the world cup after all.
heavy boat sank
lol... this swiss keeper hasn't done shit... if anyone deserves credit, it has to be inler and the whole of swiss defence and midfield...

na im not the lucky fella.. ive quit betting.
I believed the high altitude played a major part in this. players complained they are gasping for oxygen and tired easily.
yay swiss doing greece!! i really feared for switzerland after the first half, gave too much respect to spain...never thought they would score in the second half....derdiyok was unlucky to hit the post....
inler was really agressive and benaglio was solid, never fumbled an crosses or shots...and it was nice to see hakan yakin right at the end...
i guess with behrami back...swiss dun need to play a def mid on the left flank and shld be better...
like the spanish!
they still have a chance against honduras if they beat them 2-0!
chile vs switzerland.. going for chile!
Disappointed with Spain sia.
I think Torres should have started. Again boring match with 1 goal only. Are Vevuzelas affecting the teams' performance again?
spain played like arsenal. lots of beautiful passes but nothing to show for it.
nava (or naya) the right winger was a damn poor crosser. most, if not all of his passes cant get pass the first defender.
spain should play more direct football.
Haiz
disappointed...
thot Spain would win tis game
so great players
yet swiz winner

grats....i would have won $120.00 too but change of mind to buy switzerland +1.5 goal instead. not bad...for a starter to win $8.50 v
After a lacklustre start to the tournament, striker Gelson Fernandes' scrambled winner yesterday produced one of the biggest shocks in finals history.
Spain boss Vicente Del Bosque said: "I am very upset, very upset. We tried not to lose our way of playing and win in the most orthodox way possible.
"In the end we resorted to trying for a heroic comeback but couldn't do it.
"They tried to stop our game and benefit from set-pieces and counter-attacks and they got their reward.
"We tried to win but we couldn't. There's nothing else to say."
Spain had 22 shots on target - more than any other team so far in the finals but could not find a way through.
Torres came on as a late sub but looked sluggish and blew a number of openings.
Xabi Alonso hit the bar after 70 minutes and Switzerland also struck a post through Eren Derdiyok.
Swiss hero Fernandes, now at St Etienne after an unsuccessful spell at Manchester City, said: "I'm not used to scoring so I was a bit surprised.
"It was a bit lucky. I don't think I realise right now what's happened. It's a very special moment for the country. Historic.
"I'm just very happy and we just need to concentrate for the next game as it's going to be tough against Chile.
"I think Spain are a very good team and they had most of the possession.
"We ran a lot - it was very hard for us because technically and tactically they're a very strong side. But to win against Spain you need a bit of luck."
No team has ever won the trophy after losing their opening game.
Following the Swiss shocker Spain boss Vicente del Bosque admitted: "It's not a good omen and it's not a good sign we have given to the rest of the teams and the football world.
"But we have to face the next games and try to win. That should be our spirit and that's our future.
Spain face Honduras in a must-win Group H game in Johannesburg on Monday and then meet Chile in another crunch clash four days later.
The European champs are not used to losing - this was only their second defeat in 49 games.
But Del Bosque added: "You can always lose in football, naturally, but I have a certain determination to turn it around. "We can't lower our heads and think we had bad luck. We have the chance to avenge ourselves. That is the way we have to be thinking.
"We tried to find solutions from the wing and put in Fernando Torres as a second striker. We tried to get forward and create chances.
"They defended well and blocked all our passes and crosses from the wings. They were very efficient."
Switzerland have now kept five successive clean sheets in finals games - including Germany 06 - to equal Italy's all-time record set in 1990.
And the Swiss hailed keeper Diego Benaglio for denying the Spanish.
Boss Ottmar Hitzfeld, whose men play Chile on Monday, said: "Our match-winner was Benaglio, he had to be excellent if we were to win against Spain.
"From the first minute he was focused, he was sensational in his positional play, he's world class in one-on-ones.
"These were three unexpected points.
"Chile will be just as difficult to play as Spain but my team will go into the match with a great deal of confidence."
It is the first time the Swiss have won a World Cup opener since 1954.
