Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho says the Galacticos era will not continue under him.
Mourinho has already raised eyebrows with his deal for Benfica winger Angel di Maria, who doesn't boast the profile of the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Kaka, who both arrived last summer.
"This year the club will change direction," declared the Special Juan. "The signings will be players of lesser status and projection.
"My preference are players that have room for improvement. Above all to create a balanced squad. To be more competitive and have more options there will be three or four more additions."
On Ronaldo, he added: "Cristiano is a player of the highest quality in all its forms and you can only expect great things from him. Nobody can say that Ronaldo is not a great professional."
Of course they don't need anymore lah, they already bought so many just last season alone there isn't room for others anymore... But then again, $30m for Angel di Maria... Is also like a Galactico signing what... Talking what nonsense...
I thought a move for Ashley Cole was on the cards.
Chelsea's not going to get push around... So I don't think they will get Cole unless that fellow wants to leave London...
very good...UCL would be nicer to watch now...
and so is barce vs RM..
hmm hmm..
