Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger celebrated the call-up of a trio of his youngsters to the England squad on Saturday and claimed they could finally win the title again.
Wenger saw England manager Fabio Capello include Jack Wilshere, Kieran Gibbs and Theo Walcott in the squad to play Hungary on Wednesday after Arsenal's 6-5 win over Legia Warsaw in Poland.
Back in the fold: Walcott has been called up to the England squad after his World Cup omission
Wenger said: 'Gibbs is coming back to his best and that is good news for us and for England. Walcott and Wilshere were a bit jaded today but in general they have all had sharp pre-seasons and they will do a good job for England.'
The manager added: 'I'm confident we can win trophies. We were third last season, we only have two more steps to climb to win the title, and I'm confident we can do it.'
it will only be true if a quality keeper joins in.
i seriously doubt.
get someone better than bendtner.
Until you get a keeper.
we need a good goalkeeper and a defensive midifielder,
stop wasting over a million dollar difference and get schwarzer from fulham. he can provide at least 2 years time for arsenal to sort out its goalkeeper problems.
they got alex song what, he's good for a def mid. they can just get akinfeev instead of wasting their resources and manpower trying to eke out an impossible deal for lpool's reina. lpool wont let him go, he wont go to arsenal too.
goalkeeper is desperately needed. if the reports from the sun is true (hopefully), then can everyone say we will be fighting for trophys!!
agree with dragg though. bendtner is like a clueless guy just wanting the ball for no reasons. hopefully chamakh will do much better than him!
With fabregas whose heart is not 100% with arsenal?? no way.......
no way.. 1st n 2nd is impossible.
