How is your experience with Singtel Mio so far?

Like as the title suggest... Today is the big kick-off for the Premier League... Who have subscribe or know someone who has, and what's your experience so far...?
For me, despite more than 8 months already... I'm still not happy with the service. Just this morning I received an sms informing me to keep the set top box and modem on so that they can upgrade my set... I did as it said... But till now, I am still experiencing freeze pictures, lagging from time to time, and now even worse... a new problem. The commentary becomes slow as well and the voice tone becomes so low, I wanted to laugh at the sound of it and at the same time frustrated by it... This is the first time I have encountered this new problem...
Singtel better buck up man...

I nvr jump over to singtel. i wont want to support them at all. create so much shit just for $_$.
last time everything with starhub swee swee. chinese shows/movies, english movies, sports etc. singtel came in and spoiled the perfection!

2 weeks before kick off, I couldnt log in for a few nights to watch MioTV. besides subscribing BPL channels, I also sub to movie channels like ch 50 and a few other channnels like channel 72. After I email to complain, the following day I can watch MioTV. this is really unacceptable. SingTel MioTV boasts 100% coverage in Spore, but the cable TV is really unstable leh. sometimes can watch, sometimes cannot watch at all. 3 years into cable TV and they still have these teething problems? bloody sack the CEO of MioTV and replace it with someone who doesnt commit gaffe pls. just like the BP CEO Tony Wayward gaffe forced him out of BP. sometimes when u dun have good or nice things to say, can u just bloody shut the mouth up, zip it.

i dont fancy singaporeans going with Singtel MioTV, they obviously want a share of the pie, i seriously dont think this should be the case in a small market like singapore's. Starhub nvr gave me any major issue throughout my decade with them, that's also why i switched from Singnet to Starhub broadband about 7-8 years ago.
We should all dont support Singtel, let them bleed to death.

Very bad. Alot of times stuck at purple screen with 'mioTV' on it.
Call ask for tech support then they tell me hard reset wait 30min see can or not.
Of course still cannot, but i don't bother calling back.
Bad product, bad support, bad service.
Wonder why I so dumb buy new box to watch epl, should just watch online.zzz

cannot cancel MIOTV rite, because got 1 year clause in it. if u want to cancel, u need to pay penalty fee isnt it.

Depends on the contract. If 12 months then want to cancel nid pay penalty.
Also the customer service is not 24 hrs de, unlike starhub.
Epl matches mostly midnight right, if got problem can't call for tech support de.. lol

want to boasts 100% connection to whole island, but reliability is 30% nia. just like F1 cars, whats the use of being fast when the car has reliability issues, always break down and always fail to finish the race.

I have to rate Singtel's MioTV 0/5
Just now as i was watching Spurs vs Man City, i experienced:
1. picture freeze
2. lag
3. irritating advertisements
4. they got the cheek to claim the audio and picture disturbance is inherent from source when obviously its Singtel's problem
5. The original commentator was replaced by the studio soccer pundits when the signal is lost.
6. pixelated images.
Conclusion: Singtel dont deserve to screen BPL and MDA should force the rights out of them and hand it to StarHub. But we no choice, suck thumb, want to watch, we LL.

Are u all using contrend adapter? Cause I also have this problem.. Screen freeze , stuck at purple screen.. Lag.. So i call the dingbat technican to come down and they change the cable to RJ-45, it's a direct cable connect between mio tv and BPL modem.. I have no problem watching now.. No screen freeze no lag etc etc

Lets hope this Singtel starts to transmit their mio over Open Net's fibre optics the sooner the better... Cos clearly through the phone line isn't good enough...

which telco in the world use phone line in the first place except for our SINGTEL.
when is the fibre optics ready? next year?

You pple are paying all that money month after month to watch crap. I'm in Indo and I watch it free on 2 different channels every saturday. Champions league is free as well. Clear reception and original commentary.

if the screen keep freezing or cannot get connected, do we get any rebates for the bills? they should reduce the bill more as the network cannot make it.

Well, they started installing since last year and it was suppose to be almost done by Jul (last month) But so far, the latest report that I read is only 35% done island wide... But my home done already and ready to go... So hopefully they can get it started on certain areas that have it first... -

yeah is foc... i call the singtel customer service.. i said the problem and still cannot work den they appoint 1 tech to come over my house and check den say i using the comtrend adapter that i pay $5 per mth now got problem so change to RJ-45 Cable and is foc... den after change i dun have any problem now at the moment... tried for 2 mths nth happen now.. -

not advertising for them but im thinking maybe i can get the annual pass that cost $144 and i can watch whole season of EPL and UCL.. Rather than paying $26.75 per month for maybe 1 year contract of miotv just for EPL.. is it a good idea?

So far I have been with MIOTV for 2 years...No Contract...Free Box Rental so far...1st given free channels..than I didnt continue free channel..but have to pay $15 worth of channel subscription..than this year I was give free 1mbps broadband...so far TV programmes and internet speed is good...off course cannot be compared to Starhub TV(expensive)..there are a few minor problems but not as serious as yours...mayb the quality of MIOTV depends on area in Singapore.

pathetic internet speed also..just upgd to 10 mbps.like no diff from 6 mbps leh! games still lag,shows still lag,internet also lag,sometimes cant even load!

but their mobile coverage is btr than starhub n m1 ^^

miotv is fked up. i have regular pauses between the live feed once every 5 or 6 seconds. dont know wtf is wrong.
