mio tv still cmi is it? i hear frm my friends all say it suck...really?
big time
I have to say last weekend, on Sat the matches were lag and freeze for short moments here and there... Then it got better on Sun, a lot lesser problems. But on Monday when I watched the United v Newcastle match, it went smoothly without any glitch at all. That in itself was amazing to me... lol... The first moment of any problem showing up was after the match and during the reviews... But at least it wasn't that bad, reviews only mah...
On the whole, if they can improve and provide a problem free viewing and no lag or freeze image here and there, I will be please enough. And their picture quality is actually better than Starhub's too...
i think different homes have different quality. My dad told me that it was mostly without glitch and he stays in the northeast.
Yea but the majority still have problems I think... But if they can resolve this problem for more people, I guess they will hear lesser unhappy subscribers...
The thing here is I belief they are working on it... I have seen improvement over the last 9 months but it's still not good enough, they must do even better and here's my question... Why have they waited till now to improve the quality? Should have got it settled before the EPL started...
And anyone notice, the slightly better quality coincide with them cutting off all the other channels for free viewing? Before they cut off those channels, the EPL channels were good although a bit lagging and freeze but those other channels were worse...
and guess what? they will recoup these costs in their pricing revision. With ever increasing bids and money being spent to rectify these faults, whoever wins the next EPL bid will surely up the prices.

EPL fans experienced screen freezes again during the Arsenal-Blackpool match screened on mio TV last night.
This follows previous complaints from several STOMPers who had experienced poor quality feeds during other matches from SingTel.
However, the problems still persist, much to the annoyance of die-hard EPL fans.
STOMPer Wei says:
"The live telecast of the match between Arsenal and Blackpool was disrupted midway through the match.
"The image will always freeze for a few minutes. I did not encounter such problems previously with Starhub Cable TV.
"Hopefully SingTel can do something about this.
"It is really frustrating considering the amount of money we pay every month and this is the kind of service we get."
Another irate STOMPer desarazu says:
"Having watched less than 10 mins of each of the 3 EPL matches last week, I got really frustrated and disappointed to receive such rubbish quality service from SingTel.
"This week, it got worst.
"After the Arsenal match started for 10 mins, the whole screen froze.
"After calling 1688 last week, I received the same advice again this week.
"As the problem could not be solved, he suggested getting a technician to come down after 12 midnight as the slots were full at that time.
"You can imagine how many frustrated customers there are now!
"Despite the escalating cost of watching these matches, diehard fans like me who have watched every season of for the last 18 years have no choice but to pay whatever the cost is.
"Authorities should look into this seriously as I can't imagine what tourists would think about Singapore when they see this."

when i am in oversea and watching EPL, UCL in thai or viet, i don give a damn about the quality as long as i am not paying.
Ppl are kbkb with singtel is that they are paying more and getting less than satisfactory quality.
