Manchester City managed to get a rise out of Sir Alex Ferguson last summer with a giant sky blue poster welcoming Carlos Tevez to Eastlands.
Now the nouveau riche outfit are at it again by unleashing an even bigger mural to showcase £130million worth of new talent.
Wall of strength: City's mural in Mancunian Way is certainly eye-catching
City have decorated the side of a building in Mancunian Way with a Soviet-style piece of artwork depicting boss Roberto Mancini, a flag-waving James Milner and another eight stars.
And in truly Soviet style, Robinho appears to have already been airbrushed from City's past - despite moving for a British record £32.5m from Real Madrid in September 2008.
The Brazilian is the subject of a transfer tussle between Istanbul sides Fenerbahce and Besiktas.
Still blue: Tevez in last year's poster (left) and depicted in City's latest effort
Robinho has long stopped being the poster boy, as shown when former Manchester United striker Tevez was depicted arms wide with the phrase 'Welcome to Manchester' provocatively plastered across it.
Ferguson described it as ‘stupid and arrogant’, but the Old Trafford boss must be feeling a little threatened by the noisy neighbours after City's Monday night demolition of Liverpool.
