I think its pretty inevitable anyway, and we have lived with this country for so many years already. As for arms race, really, its also inevitable. Can't have a few countries having nukes only. -

Honestly I think Kim Jong Il is a pyscho. He doesn't breed rationality. Other countries you can at least count on understanding the significant consequences that a nuclear attack would bring. This fella is willing to starve millions just to maintain his hold on the country. A man with no morals.
He already has shown a ruthlessness to kill millions of his own countryman with inept policies. Consider this: he won't hestitate to threaten killing millions of his hated enemies, just to get what he wants. And even doing it if it falls on deaf years. Would you be held hostage by a madman? -

Someone just asked me to clarify if I mean nuke-powered N Korea or nuke-armed Korea. I meant the weapons part, thanks for pointing that out.

Personally, I think while N Korea being armed in such a manner is quite disturbing, I think its quite inevitable. The gap between nuke countries and non-nukes will cause pressure on the non-nukes to morph to nuke countries. Why should a country have an advantage over the other?
ie. We should be expecting more nukes from other countries in the near future. -
Technological capability and the raw material resource is necessary. I wonder where did N. Korea get the uranium from? Or does N. Korea have its own uranium mines? I know Jilin area of China has considerable resource of uranium. Maybe China sold them.

I love North Korea! After all, Kim takes such good care of all of us there! People say that there are a lot of starving children in North Korea, but truth be told, they are all just actors. I saw bush and Kim playing golf together once. They are in reality good close friends. I am most proud to be a North Korean!
