ISO:
Either you buy in DVDs, or ask some shops to save it into your memory card, with some charges, probably $3~9 bucks according to my cousin who's a regular customer at some shops that sells PSP.
Alternatively, you can always download it from the net, but bear the risk of it might be a virus.
Also, it takes quite awhile to search for the correct game and of course time to download them, most games are of quite big file size, so it's gonna take a few hours normally.
UMD:
Original games, but very costy. 2nd hand, perhaps $20~$35? Brand new ones, maybe $40 onwards?
I'm not quite sure for this, but I know it's super-expensive as compared to ISO. -

yes dude! you need a demo umd or any game umd. as long as its a umd, you can put it in your psp and its a must! this is indeed to bluff the psp that you are running the game from the umd and not from the memory stick. without the any umd, you are unable to run any games in your memory stick.any umd will do. but i suggest you buying a Demo umd. its like only $10. you just drop by various game suppliers and get it. but dont think you should go to Sony and buy it. ha ha. might be more expensive and you also dont want Sony to know that you are playing downloaded games. haha. take care!Originally posted by gasband:Hey if that is true! 1) How big is a game typically in terms of size? I keep hearing people say download games from internet or download into a DVD then into your memory stick...but memory stick 1GB only....can save alot of games meh?
so it leads to the next question....is one gb enough? -

no need umd to play wat from wat i experience.
u shut off ur psp completely, nt suspend mode...den home the 'R' button. den on again...den go to one of the options dat says "ennable no umd"
den can play w/o using umd...dat's wat im doing =\ -
edit- some games need either a game umd or blank umd to play. e.g. initial d and burnout dominator. some brand new games quite cheap. $29.90
