I am wondering anyone can enlighten me if the tv out cables are universal,as in like they can fit all current tvs,as well as those hdtvs.

Not very sure about that but I think it is possible to plug in most of the TV. If not why would Sony build in that function? Imagine that function only works in Japan then why would Sony sell it world wide? And why would consumers buy it?'

if u want tv-out for games i think you have to get the correct wire. not all the wires from sony can do tv-out for games i think. search more

Yeah. I bought the composite cables. Only red,white yellow for the average tv's.Just that it doesn support game play. It works for dvd quality video
