Couple of questions for experienced PSPers

Hi noob here thinking of getting a PSP slim. So far I've been looking around for deals but in some forums they say some sellers sell old or refurbished sets as new sets... What can I check when buying to make sure it's a brand new set? And also, about fake cards.. How to I check if a sony memory card is original? Thanks.

For Original memory sticks, they will have MagicGate support.
As for PSP, there are seldom refurbish sets around so don't need to worry. But one thing you have to check is that whether the warranty seal is tampered with. -

Erm another question.. What's the difference between OEM and fake memory stick pro duo cards?

Actually, I would say not much difference. But some pirated memory stick will lag. Which means the reading speed is pretty slow. If you want to get memory sticks, get those Sandisk ones. They are the best around if I'm not wrong.
