Dear friends,
I just decided to write my experience about a particular PSP shop at sunshine plaza, microlink soln.
When I first bought the psp, he claimed that there was a 1 year warranty, but he didn't explain what it covered.
Since it was an export and modified set, there was only shop warranty.
AFter 4 months, the charger spoiled, he said it wasn't covered so I was like...ok..I go buy another one myself.
Next, recently, my psp suddenly begun to try to detect a umd disc whenever it started.
I brought it to the shop and the fellow had a really bad attitude problem.
Firstly, he took a really long time to appear, he said he open his shop at around 2. I waited till 4.
Next, he said the warranty didn't cover the damaged microchip, and note I didn't do anything much with my psp, I just used it to play games and it was damage in like 6 months.
SO, what exactly does it cover!!!?!
SO, this is just a warning to those out there, Don't believe the 1 year warranty shops give u and especially not from this shop at cck.
I only buy PSP from reputable or referred shops.
standard warranty covers only services charges...parts not included...
so basically your warranty covers only the free service charge...lol...
anything that rhymes with sunshine is a fraud.
Better dont buy anything expensive from those kind of shops.
er, about the umd detection whenever your psp starts, i take it that your psp automatically runs the umd whenever it starts? there is such a setting to allow/disallow it from happening
Hmm... I think so too...
Remember the trick that someone wanted to con people into buying ram for their PSP? there is a setting as well...
if you guys wanna do something fun, and good at the same time, you should hang around simlim...
then walk into one of the shops and listen to the shopkeeper conning the customers...
thats where the fun starts...say out loud to your friends so that people in the vicinity can hear like "eh since when psp ram can mod sia" etc...
haha...enjoy looking at the shopkeeper's humiliated face...

huh? and they believe??
if im not wrong they set the cpu spd to the lowest to make the psp lag, thus conning the less knowledgable to "add more ram"
No, when I switch off the setting (umd autostart), it still switches on. The guy at the shop still had the cheek to sell me a demo disc at 15 dollars. ZZZZzzz
Its sunshine place (not plaza) at choa chu kang btw.

wah..bloody fugger...demo disc is supposed to be free...
ya... demo disc I think it's taken out from the old packaging of the old psp... doubt that there is any use now. Cos you can set your psp to run without umd unlike the old mod version which require you to have a UMD like a few years back.
Anyway, the cpu speed setting will actually allow you to make the psp lag like f...
Please also beware of a new shop opened at Far East Plaza. It is located at level 3, right at a t-junction corner, with a big black board writing prices for 2nd hand PSP, PSP slim, DS Lite, PS3, Nintendo Wii.....etc.
The guys tending the shop has very bad attitude & quote prices as they like. I went in first time to ask for a 2nd hand PSP price, and one guy quote me $160. I think it is too expensive and walk away.
After a few days, i went back to the same shop to take a look again and spotted the same 2nd hand PSP was there, and try my luck to ask for the price again. This time, another guy (not the same guy as the 1st time) quote me $180. I told him about the price quoted to me a few days ago, and he claimed that PSP price go up since the last few days.
