  Hi there, thought I can give some pointers on drill instruction. Eyes right on the march just basically "check up" and tilt the head to the right till a command to eyes front is given. Head tilted right but pls, eyes look at the front! Dun bang onto the other person! As for lance drills, I dun recall any specific commands for it during my training. There's nothin much abt lance drills except to dip the lance till the national anthem ends.

  For the Pandan drill, I remember that there were two versions, one for Parade and one for normal use.

  Do you mean hormat on the march? there's only one pandan as far as i know. for parade, there are 2 supernumeraries, one for eyes right, one for eyes front. If hormat on the march, then its "check up two three four five cut". Difference between that is just the saluting part the hormat part ends after 5 counts. (Days were the those... )

  WEll, the Pandan I refering to was,
  
  If in Big Parade, Like NDP, for command Pandan Ka Kanan Pandan, The whole right column dun move while the rest move.
  
  If in school do drills, just normal drills, same command, All heads tilt right except for the first row right person.

  Ah, i see i see... Well, I guess there's different variations of it. You got to consult those who are standardizing the drills and I dun think there's anything wrong to follow the NDP parade. And yes, I'm from Armour and was on NDP for 2 years.

  Ah! Interesting. Do you ahve any pics of you doing the drills? Is there any special command for the Lance Drill? Any pics on how the Lance look like?

  No pics of lance though, but the picture of the pennant that you have is too long... keke... Its much shorter... There's a pdf document on military customs and there's a pic of a staff sarge holding a lance on the front page. Its on mindef webby. Dats not me though... haha... And it also says who gets to be lance guards and stuff... No specific commands for lance, only when the president's first foot step onto the tarmac we are supposed to dip the lance. Command is to hormat the president, and is given by the senior ranking lance guard (i.e. usually staff). Dunno whether I can disclose this to anyone or not... keke... but it doesn't hurt i guess...

  For the no. 1 uniforms, a concern member of the public did write in to the Straits Times Forum pages last year or a few years ago, saying that its only the SAF and SPF who wears no. 1 year in year out for NDP as part of the Guard of hounor contingent, however, the writer hopes that SCDF can also be part of the said contingent rather than just a supporting contingent, which includes the SAF and SPF and uniform groups.
  
  I would like to point out that it is not easy to get no. 1, as you would notice that the SAF and SPF contingent commanders carry swords, which is "against" {note the inverted commas} the SCDF's mission of " to protect and save lives and property for a safe and secure Singapore" (credit: http://www.scdf.gov.sg/General/About_Us/corporate_philosophy.html). Moveover, the only most relevant thing next to the sword would be the axe.
  
  For NCDCC, since SCDF is its parent organisation, it will have to follow suit.
  
  May be good to ask LCP Cai, since he is posted to you know which branch in HQ.

  Hmm, are you from NCDCC? You seem to know quite alot!
  
  Anyway, we are under the HTCC, and not SCDF. I have heard from LCP Cai that talks are undertaking with the Commissioner James Tan to allow NCDCC to carry swords. Well, that maybe untrue until proven.
