My first trip to Kara yesterday
We downed first boss on 2nd try and it was past midnight by the time we tried downing 2nd boss on 3rd try that we called it
Lucky Kan_i got both the drops from the first boss coz me and shadow priest was locked out coz we spirit rez (thanks to the hunter) and raid leader looted before we got in ><
Ah well. -
2nd boss? which did you all attempt? either moroes or maiden can be 2nd.

Just wondering if you guys get the Horde vs Ally war outside Kara
There is this alliance guild on my server that likes to park outside Kara to gank horde
Met them on Wed so it's really 10 vs 10
We wiped them out with minimal losses
They are a pvp guild but seriously....... then someone said they used to own the BGs and someone else commented," Well they aren't much out of BGs then."
Their mistake? They didn't go after the priests and mages

spent sunday trying to kill Romulo and Julianne.
total pot count - 4 titans, 2 supremes, countless mana pots, health pots, healing elixirs, adepts elixers, and watever elixirs.
total bosses down - ZERO
k-a-n......n-e-e......n-a-h.......
i think my raid make up is not ideal for romulo and julianne. we only got 1 tank and our OT was a pally. whoever who tanked romulo will die no matter how much we heal. the farthers we got him to was 7%

oh for raiding, i respeced to disc/holy. the offical reason is to compliment the main healer, real reason i cannot stand pure holy build.

We only got him down to like 15% but then we only had 1 tank and no off tank on Sunday
We are in Group 2 and that is our progress so far. Only got the first boss and Maiden down. He will be down on Wed. The off-tank will be around this time

er for the romeo fight, both of them throws up a buff on themselves and a key factor to the fight is keeping detect magic up and dispelling/spellstealing their buffs. they do this in an interval of more than 8 seconds, which means a warlock can singlehandedly dispel the buffs with a felhunter. romeo himself doesnt hit all that hard, about 2k on tanks, but if his self-buff is not dispelled he hits VERY fast.
juliet is the same, detect magic and have the mage spellsteal her buff, and have 1 rogue time kicks when she try to heal.
it sounds like you made it to phase 3? having a pally OT juliet shouldnt be a problem since she doesnt melee that hard. as long as the 2 dispellers are on the ball your tanks shouldnt be dying from melee attacks. oh, having a bossmod like Bigwigs help too as it announces to the raid everytime they cast the buff on themself.
this encounter doesnt require flasking yet, it's more of a "control" fight, better save your flasks for Curator and Shade of Aran. those 2 are a gearcheck cockblock. -

half of my raid group has been doing kara for a week before i joined them. so they r experienced with moroes and maiden. we are still stuck at romulo and julianneOriginally posted by elindra:So fast

hope u down moroes soon! he is not easy but is do-able =) -

But we got the hunter to keep trapping one add while we 2 mages kite and dps them down quickly.
Always get him down to around 15 % then tank dies. Sheez

Don Don my group has no experience in Kara
The other team has experience though
Our group 2 is for less hardcore people with no time to play
Some aren't even keyed up for Kara yet coz they are not on >< -

but then our 2 kara groups are reduced to 1 now... not easy to reshuffle people when there's 2 groups going on. -

Hehe I did my first heroic mode Slave Pens yesterday (believe it or not it's my first time into slave pens and I did it heroic)
Bosses are easy but the adds are ><
Yes and I had to kite those Defenders or whatever you call them coz they can't be turtled >< -
i did it last night too and i think Blizz hotfix nerfed the defenders pretty badly. they used to hit for alot more on the tanks, similar to the heroic underbog giants and it's impossible to have 1 single healer. now, the 1 healer can end a 2 defender pack pull with 70% mana...Originally posted by elindra:Btw, anyone knows if the server will be up tonight?

It was my first time in slave pens and in heroic mode -
they feel different for sure, compared to last 2 weeks. we are always guaranteed at least a few wipes at the double defender pulls before last night. and...i did heroic slavepens quite alot because of the trinket from quagmirran ^^ but no luck, still hasnt got it yet, the only time i saw it drop i lost roll. worst thing is my other guildees say they DE that trink quite alot liao

But he dropped some purple boots which is a slight upgrade from what I had which I took anyway

server maintenance today, but not sure if it will be down at 7pm or 9pm.
from last week onwards it was alternate weeks maintenance and we had no maintenance last week. -
Yesterday's Kara was funny
We breezed through the first 3 bosses, all 1 shotted,Midnight (can't remember boss name but I remember his horse), Moroes and Maiden
Then we went on to the stage not knowing what to expect
Bloody stagehands hit harder then the stewards and wiped on first try
Then we got careless and wiped again
Then not knowing what to expect we started the event
And was like oh so cute... hide in a corner but event started and we wiped so quickly
Was the Wizard of Oz
We wiped on 2nd try and called it coz we only planned on killing 2 bosses last night. Didn't think we could down Maiden. So we were totally unprepared ...not read up yet. Haha -
good luck for wizard of oz, the opera event drops a very nice pair of caster pants. too bad my group has not seen it drop yet. come to think of it, i've been having pretty crappy luck with loot lately :/

First 3 tries were super messy and we did change the strategy. Yesterday we had:
2 warriors
2 priests (1 holy, 1 shadow)
2 Pallies
2 mages (1 Arcane/Fire, 1 Arcane/Frost)
1 rogue
1 hunter
Main tank tanked Roar, Strawman and Tito. Roar was just to build aggro while hunter and 2 priests took turns to keep him feared.
Firemage stunned strawman periodically with fire spells.
Off-tank kited Tinman while I dotted him up with Frost till he Rust and continued kiting Tinman whlie I went back to Dpsing
Basically we quickly downed Dorotee, followed by Tito, Roar, Strawman and Tinman last.
The crone fight was a bit messy coz we were expecting to wipe and not survive
Half the raid died when Crone was like 40%. Only people standing were 2 priests, me, main tank and 1 pally. But we downed her anyway
Anyway it was totally fun. Going to Curator tonight -
Curator is a huge step in terms of difficulty, but at least it's manageable if your dps is capable. be prepared to flask ^^
my grp had romeo and juliet this week and still no pants drop. Curator also didnt drop my class gloves. aran sucks as usual, trying him again tonight :/ hope that my group can have a shot at prince this week.
