Considering our group is all first-timers in Kara
I think we are doing ok so far

curator is a straightforward fight though. 1 tank on curator himself, the rest of dps kill adds asap and only dps curator during his evocation after killing all adds. if got 2 or more adds out at the same time=not enough raid dps=wipe.

Ok we downed Curator last night without any flasks
Tank died on the last 5% though and all hell broke loose
I thought I would die too coz curator ran towards me but he died at my feet
Was dumping all the instant spells and used my POM ><
Will be doing Aran (?) tonight

personally i've not downed him yet, but i'm co-leading the 2nd kara group and so i don't have much solid melee dps available. key to killing aran is melee dps. the best i can muster up is 10%. the main raid group has killed prince though and are trying for nightbane. sibeh sian. -

My guild in Stormscale - Horde is looking for Mages who wans to raid regularly. Usually raid days are Mondays 9pm, Thursday 8pm, Sunday 1pm.
We have pple from everywhere, hong kong, australiam, philippines, singapore, malaysia, etc.
Guild is small and intends to be small. we currently have 2 kara raids and is building the 3rd raid. The guildies are all v nice people (surprise surprise) and very friendly. It doesn't matter if you are gay, muslim, straight, ugly, pretty, boy or gal. All are treated the same.
I must say this is the best guild I've been in (been in 3 guilds before) and these bunch of folks r the nicest ever.
If you are looking for a guild that have fun, progresses seriously and are mad over vent, this is da place.

We only got him down to the water elementals then we wiped ><
You managed to keep his hp lower than his mana by about 5%
Yes. We had our MT in dps gear, a rogue and the off-tank warrior was doing higher dps then the rogue and a feral druid.
Not trying tonight. Need a break >< -

Too bad I'm kinda tied to my guild (our side is we have too many mages ><) -
got aran to 10% was my group's best attempt so far, but admittingly we didnt try him every week cause i not able to consistently get a full 2nd group running. the main kara group seems to be comfortable with the fight already though, sian.
i'm pretty sure u need at least a warlock to lock down 2 of the elementals via fear and banish. it seems impossible otherwise. 2 locks will make the adds alot easier. 5 sunders and a curse of recklessness supposedly get aran's armour down to zero so try that if you haven't already. an enhancement shaman will work wonders for your melee dps here also, u horde should have no problem finding 1 i guess.Originally posted by elindra:How low did you get him down.

We didn't have a lock last night coz none on (Actually there is a lock but due to certain reasons none of the officers and raid leaders want to take him to Kara) -

wow everyone is doing very well in kara. that's good. i get to read da how-to-do and wat-to-expect before i pay repair bills
my guild has tried curator last sunday. and will be trying him tomorrow if time permits. *crossing fingers* hope we get him down this time -

actually if they left then wan to come back a bit funny right, why they wan to leave their current guild.
but up to you loh, if your guild wans to take them back then u can run 2x30man raids -

But I think coz the current guilds they in isn't progressing as fast as we are
The funny thing is we are a non-hardcore guild but there is progress
And we have lax rules
Actually that time before BC, there were some unhappy members who left our guild and formed their own guild coz they say we sux ma and that they will do better

TX still pins the blame on the adulterous couple and the whimp of a husband. oh well

Right now for Kara we have 2 teams
Team 1 and Team 2
Team 1 has progressed much faster coz they are the younger more hardcore ppl
Team 2 consist of working folks like me with not so much time to progress
But what we doing is rotating people around so everyone gets gear la -

speaking about keeping the guild together.... i've had a couple of people quitting the game since TBC too, for different reasons. some simply got bored, and some i suspect are unhappy about not getting kara raid spots.
also, going by how raids now are so reliant on consumables, and it takes easily >50g(that's if u're cheapo like me, use pots only and no flasking) for repairs per raiding night, i wouldn't be suprised if more raiders got burnt out sooner than later, and that's only made worse by the marginal upgrades in gear that drops from raid bosses.
see, the blue gear from the 5 men instances are not improved much by karazhan drops, yet the difficulty from Shade of Aran onwards is scaled alot higher than the +2 stam or +3 damage upgrades we get from gear. and actually if people bothered to do heroic dungeons, kara drops are sidegrades at best.
i saw my first prince kill last raidweek but it was done with the main raid group. strangely it's easier than aran, although it relies on alot of luck. ie. the placement of the infernals and if the boss decide to suddenly do a few crushing blows consecutively.. if they heng heng drops away from the raid, prince is practically a free kill. then...last night tried Nightbane and IIllhoof, the optional bosses. wipe like crazy. i can't see how they could be done with semi casual players honestly. bring 1-2 imcompetent players and that's it >.<
that said.... i'm going to make all my alts herbing and alchemy ^^ -

We still stuck at Romeo and Juliet
We got them to 1%
We downed Juliet but didn't kill Romeo at same time....1% and Juliet popped!!!
Damn. Didn't retry coz of respawns and it was midnight. As usual, late raiding at 10pm -
well my alts are level 57-62, just slowly play them lor, rotate their rested exp heh. undergeared means need all the help they can get with exp while levelling. also tired of farming primals for the mights to make the spellstrike set.
