my guild not so adventurous, the main raid leader doesn't exactly have faith in certain raiders to want to push through progression so fast. but quite rightly so.
last week one of my locks took this +fire belt in karazhan when it dropped and he equipped it immediately(I wasnt in that raid), even though he was wearing the 3pc shadow tailored set and specced affliction. last night i joined them for aran+prince and noticed he was still wearing it. i asked him nicely why he is wearing it even though he isn't specced for fire and he got defensive immediately "I was the only cloth when it dropped, ask bear(the MT and raid leader for that raid )" he says. "so do you want to loot the +healing items next time too since they're cloth too?" he got no reply to that.
i don't mind them looting such stuff in case they want to specc destro in the future for fun or whatever, but wearing a 3pc shadow set and then a +fire belt just makes it look....silly. he's quite a terrible raider and this isn't the first time i've warned him. i'm not quite sure what to do with him. sigh. -

Ppl complain about others after repeated warnings and they still dun change, we gkick
Saves us alot of headache
But also cuts down the human element
Kinda like you dun perform we axe you
Or you can just sit out of raids and leave on your own.
But at least less stressful on the officers
We massed recruit so testing out some members
Some of them really CMI man
Yesterday ran normal SL. The bloody tank can't tank at all
Good thing was 3 fire mages and 1 holy priest
The mages took turns kiting/tank and dpsing
The warrior can't hold aggro wan! With my crappy gear, 2 scorch and he lose aggro liao.
But the priest was really good. She is joining our guild soon. Too bad she wanna respec back to shadow coz her healing is good
We were talking on vent that hell we can just bring someone else in and run SL without a tank -
well we don't really have a gkick culture since we recruit quite stringently in the first place. people we recruit are usually friends of friends within guild. i think we only ever gkick once and that's for epic ninjaing. the weaker players.... we usually just keep them out of raids. maybe i just demote him to social player ><

We gkick for epic ninjaing too but right now coz it's mass no QC recruit we just gkick lor
Either that or we lock you out of raids till you quit on yr own -
But right now due to BC content you have to be able to play with a certain lvl of skills or you pull down the whole raid so we have a shape up or ship out attitude too
But we dun really have this problem with the old members it's the new ones really CMI
Got 1 or 2 ok but the rest.....sigh sigh sigh -
do you guys still need to flask for gruul? our gruul kill last night was exactly like our first, very sloppy :/ although last night we didnt flask casters. by the time gruul dead <10 alive lol

One of the officer's accounts got compromised and his charc everything all gone
Apparently his charcs got transfered to another account

it's not possible to transfer characters to another account i think? the paid transfer also only works for transfer to other servers only. unless his characters got outright deleted. but blizz can restore them i think, will just take alot of correspondence to them to make them do it

All his 3 main charcs got transfered to a diff account
Bliz is investigating now -
The worrying thing is dunno how his account got compromised
Is it keylogger or what
It's against TOS but our accounts are shared between like 4 ppl
(each of us have our own account but we have access)
So all of us changed our passwords -
it's quite rampant now, i've seen a few cases already. i play on a mac so it doesn't affect me.
a few of my guildies also got their accounts banned for suspected sharing of accounts. one of them is a pilot and he tend to log in from different countries. Blizz banned him because they thought his account was hacked/shared lol.
got another is funnier, he got banned for being suspected as a farmer. he got 5 digit gold at that time and tonnes of metals and herbs. his wow is logged on almost constantly on his laptop while he is at work and he mine/herb every 15mins or so >.< super rich, he single-handedly supplied our mt ALL the mats for Thunderfury once he got the 2 bindings in MC. but of course those 2 being good friends helped a lot.Originally posted by elindra:Is it keylogger or what -

It's like ok you got items for this boss and the guy who needs it is not around so we log on as him to get it

recently there are many cases of accounts being hacked/stolen/characters nakkid etc
i think some bugger found a loophole and is exploiting it. many of my frens in dragonmaw lost their accounts or got their characters back nakkid. i have not heard anything like that in my current server tho -

not kidding. at first i tot it was some cybercafe that my frens played at that has key logger. then another fren of mine who plays only from home (in malaysia) also had his account stolen. then someone i know who is in china and another in NZ also had their accounts stolen/tempered with. someone in my guild just lost his account too. he is trying to get it back as we speak. someone mentioned a keylogger that works when you accept trade from other pple. this is damn scary.... innocent players losing accounts because of blizzard's bugs in game
