Uefa president Michel Platini has rejected claims from Arsene Wenger that France's management were to blame for Thierry Henry's problems.
The Arsenal striker has seen his season ended prematurely due to stomach and groin muscle injuries.
Wenger suggested an international friendly against Bosnia in August played a major part in his captain's demise.
The Gunners boss said: "I feel he has been badly managed after the World Cup by the French football team.
"After the World Cup final, I gave him a holiday until August 4. Then he came back, we prepared him, I left him out of the Champions League qualifier in Zagreb, they called him up for the game on August 16 - less than 14 days after he came back - and they played him in the whole game against Bosnia. It was a friendly.
"After he had played in the World Cup final - why do they need to play him in the whole game?"
However, Platini is baffled by Wenger's comments, insisting accountability for Henry's injuries cannot be placed on France.
"I cannot understand that he is injured because he played a game in August," said Platini.
"I cannot understand why Thierry Henry is injured in March because he played a game in Bosnia in August.
"I am not a physiotherapist but I cannot understand how he can be injured from a game six months ago."
