Kolo Toure admits Arsenal have 'handled certain situations badly' in recent weeks.
The Gunners have crashed out of the UEFA Champions League and FA Cup over the last month, while their defeat to Chelsea in the Carling Cup final was marred by a mass brawl in stoppage-time.
Toure was sent off against Chelsea for scuffling with John Obi Mikel and he accepts that he has been the club's biggest culprit.
The defender acknowledges that it has been a difficult period but concedes there can be no excuse for some of Arsenal's aggressive behaviour.
"We've found it hard to stomach going out of all the cups," he explained in the Daily Mirror.
"We have talent and potential, but in the end it's not been enough for us to go through.
"We have handled certain situations badly.
"We've also been too aggressive recently - and I'm thinking about myself first and foremost."
