Kolo Toure has challenged his Arsenal team-mates to bounce back from the 4-1 defeat to Liverpool.
The Reds gained revenge for three losses to Arsenal this season as a Peter Crouch hat-trick inspired a comprehensive home win at Anfield on Saturday.
The result took Liverpool above Arsenal but Toure insists his side will use the memory of their poor performance as motivation to secure third place in the Premiership.
"We need to be really strong all over the pitch. When we win, we win together and when we fail we fail together," he told the club's official website.
"We had beaten Liverpool three times this season - but we did not have the response when they went ahead.
"We lost, but it is definitely a big motivation for the players to finish in third place.
"We are professional and we need to stay motivated because we are a big club and every game is important for us."
Arsene Wenger criticised his defenders for not being able to contain Crouch, and Toure admits the Liverpool striker was far too good on the day.
"Crouch is good in the air, he has good technique and he deserved the three goals," applauded Toure.
"He made it very difficult for us at the back. He can head the ball, he can pass the ball - he is a clever player."
