Arsene Wenger has admitted that he would probably allow Mathieu Flamini to leave Arsenal.
The versatile 23-year-old, who recently received his first call-up to the French senior squad, revealed earlier this week that he wanted to quit The Gunners - as he could not be guaranteed first-team football.
Wenger has now conceded that he understands the problems Flamini faces.
"We have heard about Flamini, who is keen to go and play somewhere where he will get some more games," Wenger told it's TV.
"I'll regret it but I feel at the moment we have to be understanding as well with him.
"We'll sit down at the end of the season and see where we go from there."
Wenger also refused to comment on speculation linking him with a move for Sevilla's brilliant full-back Daniel Alves - who has been the subject of interest from Liverpool in the past 12 months.
