Cesc Fabregas admits to being a relieved man after finally breaking his Premiership duck this season, in scoring a sublime winner against Bolton on Saturday.
While the midfield maestro has impressed this term with another string of mature beyond his years displays, he has left his shooting boots back in the dressing room.
Fabregas had not scored in 47 appearances since netting a double against Zagreb back in August, but at Emirates Stadium at the weekend he proved Arsenal's matchwinner, in producing a fine finish to conclude a sweeping move from the home side.
The 19-year-old Spaniard admits to being frustrated at his lack of form in front of goal but having now finally etched his name on the scoresheet, he is looking forward to the rest of the campaign with renewed optimism.
"It has been amazing, crazy. I have had so many chances, but I have not been taking them," said Fabregas.
"It is also important for my confidence as well.
"In November, I said I should have scored 10 goals - that is the way it is in football sometimes. You score one, then you score five and then maybe go five games without a goal.
"I was saying to myself that it did not upset me because it is not normal to have so many chances and not score.
"Sometimes you make the shot of your life, and you hit the woodwork, sometimes the keeper made a fantastic save and sometimes I was just not taking it.
"Fortunately against Bolton was the day - let's see if I can score some more now."
he deserve at least a goal.. lucky he manage to break the duck...
Hope this will boost his confidence to score more!
