Arsène Wenger believes Arsenal will see the best of William Gallas next season.
The centre back is coming to the end of a difficult campaign at Emirates Stadium following his arrival from Chelsea on deadline day in August. The main reason was a three-month spell on the sidelines in the middle of the season because of a thigh injury. However his manager believes Gallas is returning to his peak just as this term draws to a close.
“We’ll see the best of him next year I feel,” said Wenger. “He had a lot of injuries and only now is he getting back to his best. For a while you could see he was not really comfortable. When he had come back from injury he played a little bit within himself. But in the last three or four games we have seen him coming back to his best.”
