Eduardo delight at '£16m' switch

Croatian international Eduardo da Silva has spoken of his excitement at agreeing a reported £16.25million move to three-time Premier League winners Arsenal.
The Brazilian-born striker will move to Emirates Stadium upon the successful completion of a medical, in a deal that will reputedly break the Croatian transfer record.
The Dinamo Zagreb star has clearly outgrown his current environment having been his league's top scorer in the past two seasons and, despite recently signing a new ten-year deal in the Croatian capital, is now looking forward with great anticipation to the start of his career in England.
"I am excited and happy in the same time, also very proud that I am going to play in such a big club," da Silva told Uefa.com.
"Every football player wants to play for Barcelona, Real [Madrid], Manchester United or Arsenal one day and so do I.
"I want to progress in my career, but it will be hard to leave Dinamo Zagreb after eight years.
"I will miss the club, the guys...I will be back one day, but now I want to accept a new challenge."
Eduardo has proved himself on the international scene with seven goals in 12 appearances for Croatia, but his task in North London will be an even more daunting one - filling the boots of departed captain Thierry Henry.
The French superstar joined the Catalans for £16million in June, and Dinamo president Mirko Barisic claims the entirety of that transfer fee has now been used to prise da Silva from Croatia.
"I think the transfer is worth €24million (£16.25million) from the money Arsenal got after selling Henry to Barcelona," said Barisic.
Is he really worth 16m pounds? hmm -

7.5m only?? I tot it was 16.25m? If its only 7.5m then its a very gd bargain i must say...If this guy adapts to epl he could be churning out 25goals per season so keep an eye on him

He looks physically short.
Maybe his playing style would be completely different from Henry.. -

I think he's a left footer. somewhat or somehow like reyes. Can play at the flank or as a striker. just what arsenal needed. Now we all have to see how he performs in epl.

I hope Wenger sticks with 4-4-2 formation, maybe with van Persie - da Silva strike partnership. I believe the Gunners play better in this formation compared to 4-5-1.
A question about Walcott. Should Wenger use him as a striker or as a winger?
Also the Reyes-Baptista thing. Has it been resolved? -
I think for now walcott shud continue as a winger to develop his skills...like henry..after all still got bendner as sub for striker
After he gets good enuf to shoot and oso feed the strikers accurately then put him in the striker position either in 4-3-3 or as a sub....haha after all his shooting really quite bad now..muz train...the winger position oso gives him ample opportunity to exploit his pace so it is best he remain there for now -
Wenger wants Walcott to play as winger is because like Henry, he wants Walcott to improve his dribbling skills and of course his pace. Once Walcott can dribble and has speed, which he already has, he can be the same as Henry, maybe what he lacks is height, Walcott does not have the height Henry has

So, perhaps walcott should stay for a little longer as a winger? I dun think he is mature enuf to take on the offensive role of a striker as of now...unless...he wasnt kidding when he said he only shown 50% strength last season..then thats another thing.....hope he was telling the truth haha -

no.10 jersey is too good for a defender to wear. it should be an influence attacking midfielder number. -
