Kolo Toure is confident Arsene Wenger will agree a new deal to stay at Arsenal.
Wenger's current contract expires at the end of the coming season and there has been speculation about his future.
Thierry Henry said as he joined Barcelona that he could not risk being at Arsenal without Wenger, but Toure does not believe he will leave.
"For me, I think he will stay," said the defender. "Mr Wenger brings something special to this club and to keep him would be a great thing.
"We need to win some trophies and I'm sure Mr Wenger will bring lots of trophies to the club."
Henry's departure has led to predictions of a difficult season for The Gunners, but Toure is sure his young team-mates have improved from last term.
He explained: "We have all progressed mentally. We know what was wrong last season and have worked on it. We are focused and we know we can do something.
"We've played together for a long time. Each player has a big role and we're confident. We've all progressed together and we know we're going to make it."
