SPL new boys Gretna have lined up a deal to sign Arsenal goalkeeper Vito Mannone.
Mannone has yet to make his senior debut for the Gunners since joining the club from Atalanta two years ago.
He gained first-team experience during a loan spell at Barnsley last season and is now set for a stint in Scottish football.
The teenager confirmed he has agreed to sign for Gretna and is excited by the prospect of playing regularly after being allowed to go out on loan by Arsene Wenger.
"This could be a great opportunity for me to get some first-team football in a competitive league like the SPL," Mannone told the Daily Record.
"I'm looking forward to joining up with Gretna."
The top-flight newcomers hope to finalise the signing in time for Mannone to feature in Saturday's pre-season friendly with Darlington.
