New Wing Role for Eboue!!.............

Wenger has given his clearest indication that Emmanuel Eboue will take up a position on the wing in this coming season.
Talking to the Mirror, Wenger said:
"In the wide positions we can play Alexander Hleb, Theo Walcott, Tomas Rosicky and Emmanuel Eboue.
"All these players are on their way up. They are not over the hill.
"Their level is still rising and they are getting better and better."
A number of other Premier League clubs, including London rivals Tottenham and West Ham, have also spent big as they prepare for the new season but Wenger does not believe this will necessarily make them better teams.
"The challenge is the same," Wenger added.
"They can only play 11 players at the start of the game.
"And it is not necessarily the case that because they spend £50m that they are a better team."
However, Wenger says he is not interested in the opportunity to take part in any panic buying.
Wenger insists that he would rather concentrate on nurturing talent already at Emirates Stadium.
"It is unbelievable how much has been spent," Wenger told the Mirror.
"It looks like the banks are being very generous this year!
"I have been very surprised but then you know that there is a lot of money out there and on my front, I am just looking to develop the players we have here.
Hmm,Eboue seems to suit the winger position. Good good. And sagna will be replace Eboue's RB position eh? -

i remember Eboue's amazing crosses to Henry last season..
he should fit well there as he's also got a lot of pace -
onli 1 prob...i rmb some weird ankle injury that eboue wud always sustain everytime he crosses while sprinting....i suppose thats quite a major prob if he is to be a winger cos he has to cross often. I have my doubts on his scoring ability too...and we have quite a lot of wingers now...hleb theo rosicky and now eboue think we will ave probs fitting him in

He's better as a marauding right back then right winger.
The stamina and pace to keep running up and down the flanks is something not many has.
Imo, he's better overlapping the right winger. -
but he don't really dribble well with the ball
he can only use pace to outrun pple like SWP
putting Hleb there would be a better choice
maybe wenger is putting Hleb on the left since he can use both foot well

Eboue has great stamina and pace, though he cannot dribble that well, he can cross the ball better than Hleb

Imagine Eboue at the right midfield can ? Although i admit his dribbling skills is a bit weaker than the other wingers but he has the stamina and pace.. He cross better than some of the wingers in EPL tho'.Originally posted by ghimpheng:but he don't really dribble well with the ball

unless you want to cross from deep position which is not ideal for a striker and surely not wenger style crossing from deep position -

its making use of ur qualities in the best position. -
Must have faith Eboue can improve his dribbling skills, maybe thats why Wenger wants Eboue to play at right midfield

arsenal play quick passing and running right? he juz pass and run can liao wat..maybe if defence tight then use helb to unlock, the last 15mins use him to run at defence

Eboue is one of the best @ right back in epl -
ya i agree too eboue can alternate with sagna lah.....he is seriously a great rb aside from his playacting
