Wenger: Denilson the next Vieira

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger believes his young charges can match the success of modern-day legends Patrick Vieira and Thierry Henry.
He said: “I feel that players like Robin van Persie and Emmanuel Adebayor are ready to take over from Thierry up front. Fabregas and Denilson can show they have the quality to reach the level Patrick Vieira was at a couple of years ago.
“And we brought in Theo Walcott to take over from these players. You cannot say he is potentially a world-class player and then not give him the chance to show it.
“We were never planning to spend a lot of money this summer because we have prepared this young team to grow.
“Manchester United won the title and they only bought Michael Carrick last summer after selling Ruud van Nistelrooy. The lack of signings did not stop them.
“We have to show we can progress and go forward as a team and we have spoken to the players about that.
“They have all stood and taken on that responsibility. They want to show how good they are. And, yes, of course I think we can win the title.

I didn't think that he was the Vieira type of player that dominates the midfield with his physical abilities.

Denilson seems more like a winger?

Denilson is more like a Winger / SS / AMF and
can play as CMF as he played for the previous club in that role but he is more of an quick pacy attacking player to me
wenger also say the same to Cesc which is untrue as Vieira is a DM
while Cesc is a CMF that is excellent in short passing especially while Vieira is a world class defensive midfielder that has strong physical presence good in the air and good @ going forward
this is not the first time wenger compare those young players to Vieira
he also compared Diaby to Vieira in terms of physical and defensive attributes and going forward
I think Diaby is most similar to Vieira rather than Cesc And Denilson
Cesc and Denilson is completely different player from Vieria
i think wenger trying to hype up those youths so that they can be more confident about themselves
but @ least compare them with the correct player
if he compare Cesc with Pires @ least more similarity than Vieira -
