  gpa is like ur sec sch End/Mid-Of-Year results, just that they add up and divide it into 4 semester..
  
  eg.
  
  u got all module A for the 1st term, means gpa 4. but in the 2nd term, u get one module A and the other, B. So ur 2nd term will get gpa 3. Add both up and divide by the 2 terms.
  
  4 (term 1 gpa) + 3 (2nd term gpa) = 7 (1st half of the year)
  
  then
  
  7 / 2 (1st year got two terms) = 3.5 gpa
  
  1st year u got gpa 3.5..
  
  Above example just 1st year only wor~~~~~
  
  of course, different course got different type of counting gpa.
