I'm a cheapskate & that's why I advertise here..
Dear readers,
It is with deep regret and disappointment to inform you that the following message posted by one of our staff, Stanley, was illegally accessed and replaced with a defamatory remark without permission:
"I'm a cheapskate & that's why I advertise here..
Our private account has also been illegally modified and we can no longer access our account to edit our posts.
As this involves protecting users against the online invasion of privacy and unauthorized access of accounts, we have personally requested for the SGForums Team to thoroughly investigate this issue and we are looking forward to an outcome.
We strongly advise everyone on this thread to immediately change your passwords to protect any private accounts you may own elsewhere.

Most Mod follows the 30 post rule from chitchat...
Link >> 30 Post Rule
Regret to inform that according to rules and regulation, users are required to have at least 30 posts to post a website/link/company name or other forms of recommending or complaining about something.
This is to ensure that users be part of the vibrant community, and not just to register and account to advertise or rant.
However, if u wish to advertise, U may wish to click on the link at the bottom of the page which reads "Advertise".
Acid: We understand and appreciate your advice. Thank you.
However, the issue we're looking at here is much more severe. If you are genuine in helping us and understand our situation, we hope you'll be able to call the main admin team to respond as soon as they possibly can. We are unable to reach them other than a form to fill out on the Contact Us page.
Our account was hacked into by one of your moderators under the nickname QX179R, and modified with a defamatory remark under our staff's name and personal account. We are aware of the identity of that moderator, but will leave the investigations to the main Sgforums admin team. Our user login and password were also modified without permission, and we believe the forum here protects all users against unauthorized access.
Can you help verify if this is correct?
This means that the rest of the people here could have had their passwords, even yours, to other accounts, compromised and revealed to the moderators here as well.
We hope this is NOT the case.
Our staff has contributed a few posts here previously sharing upcoming events and so have some of your members here, without any issues. Some of your readers have also responded positively and we see you contributing actively to the threads here as well. One of your senior members here, Bangzulzai, has also shared our events on this page previously and we appreciate it very much. But if you view those posts as advertisement, please by all means delete them.
What we don't understand is why a certain moderator should abuse our account without permission, pose as the identity of our staff and pass a derogatory remark in his name?
We are still awaiting a reply from your admin team. And we trust that they'll be able to deliver an outcome as to why our accounts are vulnerable to unauthorized access and implement security measures to stop a similar incident.
We don't intend to seek legal advice - at this stage - as we have full confidence in the SGForums team to get to the bottom of this matter.

unfortunately I'm not a mod of any sub-forum here...
@Acid: It's alright, but thank you. We are quite surprised, and really didn't expect such things would happen here.
We've sent an email to the Forum owner, Jason and tried to reach his contact number but it was invalid. Hopefully we'll get a reply soon.
