So the partner(chinese) went to look at the speaker and realise it wasn't connected to anything, so cannot be prank.
While holding the speaker, This time a laughing sound came out. So immediately this DO make some prayers la. And then no more sound from the speaker already.
After that, 2 cisco police came and say they heard a woman screaming.
Wooo, freaky man.

Could it be "field phone effect"? ie even a total broken lines still can communicate between the 2 field phone devices over short distance no more than 300m range?

It doesn't matter how many people or devices. One broadcast with many receivers. Just like radio stations. If the broadcast is strong enough then no power is required for the speakers. Can used for spooky movies.
