  Singapore beach is no where near those beaches that provide clean clear water, nice sandy beach.   most of the beach in sg are dirty

  Actually South Pacific not that expensive if you got the right connection.

  If a cheap Auckland ticket plus a cheap package form Flight Centre there to any one of these South Pacific destinations for eg 5 nights stay in Fiji/Samoa resort only NZ$700 inclusive airticket, transfer and breakfast.

  Don't do a direct flight from here, your head on the chopping board, very ex.

  Me dreaming of an Antarctica trip but very ex leh. Also may be too old to tahan the chill.

  well, unless i am going from NZ then will be able to get that kind of fare you mentioned.

  but think it is unlikely i will go from NZ

  I am too influenced by what I read, I always have impression those islands there are nice, nice like paradise.   Correct me if i am wrong.

  Peace and serenity is the paradise of the South Pacific. But not for shopaholics or nightlife. Nature at its best. So prepare your mentality and not be disappointed.

  Yes, if you do a side trip from Auckland, it will save big bucks. A round trip to Tahiti from Sin cost more than $2,500. If a cheap NZ ticket is $800 plus 4 nights package in Tahiti is NZ$1,200, it still work out cheap than one return ticket from Sin via Tokyo.

  but your fares are excluding the fare from sin to nz.   moreover it is 10 hrs flight from sin to nz.   may waste time travelling.  

  Actually going to beach resort, I am always prepared for the no night life, no shopping kind of trip.   I love beach resorts but only manage to go to those near singapore.   I really like the serenity, beautiful beach kind of places.   

  Good for consideration.

  Total = $2,000. Travelling time total 22 hrs (excl transit/transfer time)

   

  A return ticket Sin to Tahiti = $2,500.(via Tokyo)

  Travelling time 19 hrs (excl transit time/time)
