Not very appealing in food sense except Fiji. There they cook well both Chinese and Indian food. Import foods are expensive so be prepare to pay more than in Europe or America. Local veg and fruits are cheap.
Some places you can still eat the coconut crabs not cheap but delicious.

I am surprised they serve chinese food there.
I was told that Fijian serves a kind of drink to welcome their guests. This drink tastes horrible. True?

Kava, a muddy tasting intoxicating drink. The Fijian ones are not as strong as those from the neighouring Vanuatu ones. It like some drugs that slow you down. Not healthy.
Plenty of Chinese small eateries in main towns thorughout the South Pacific. Don't expect our chai png standard.
