Nowadays I find that food get stuck between my teeth easily... So I've begun on a nightly routine.
Floss teeth Brush teeth Mouthwash
Brushing teeth is important before sleeping. Just imagine, when you sleep, if there's food stuck in your teeth, bacteria are consuming it and generating toxins throughout the night. And these toxins slowly enter your body through your mouth....
In addition, your tooth enamel gets slowly broken down. To crown a tooth (that has decayed) costs a few hundred dollars or more... Imagine if you have more than one tooth that requires crowning (happened to my friend, age early twenties). This is a case where prevention is really better than cure; a few more minutes a day save hours, lots of money, and possibly lots of pain from toothaches.
