huh? i dun get what u mean. can simplify it more to me? thx a lotOriginally posted by Jem777:Excess calories=Gaining mass

Protein would eventually be broken down into AA to repair/heal the muscle fiber but if you don't eat enough you won't grow.
hmm , i eat different things everyday leh , how to tell u , i play sports quite a lot , i swim , i run , i play basketball and sometimes gym , but very few. but maybe have to start already. I just want to grow bigger in size. more fats its alright , cos i am only 48kg. so if i wan to grow bigger in size i will have to do gym workouts and then drink the protein?Originally posted by eagle:what exercises do you plan to do?
how is your current diet? What do you normally eat? Can you give us a sample of your daily meals?
A supplement is just a supplement; it is just an addition to a real food, and can never substitute real food.
From what I see, what you have bought is sustained release protein. I've to say that it is a bit advanced... Unless you get your workout and daily nutrition right, it won't help much.
And both swimming and gymming do help, although swimming is more cardio, unless you can make sure that for every stroke you make, you do it at the hardest, ie most intense. However, for purely mass gaining, gym workouts definitely rule...
eh i most of the time nv eat breakfast , so i ate 2 meals a day nia , eh lunch arh? sometimes eat noodle nia then dinner eat one bowl of rice nia.Originally posted by eagle:what do you mean by different things.
Do you include a lot of meat and vege?
Do you include a lot of carbs to fuel your sports?
Do you eat frequent enough?
How big is one meal? Any example?
For me, my lunch includes rice + 2 vege and 2 meat (cai peng)... And I eat similar amounts about 4 times a day...
you need to double to triple your intake of food. And eat a heavy breakfast; your body is desperately in need of food at this point of time, and by skipping it, you are depriving your body the nutrients that it needs. After you have settle this part, then it will be more useful to consider supplementing with protein...Originally posted by Resentment:eh i most of the time nv eat breakfast , so i ate 2 meals a day nia , eh lunch arh? sometimes eat noodle nia then dinner eat one bowl of rice nia.
That's pretty much as easy as it gets. AA=amino acid, the building block of your body/muscles. Dump the supps first (isobolic isn't exactly cheap), get your normal diet down. I was eating 6 meals a day when I started lifting (3 big meals, 3 snacks). Basically how it goes is: breakfast>snack1>pre workout>post workout>snack2>snack3. Timing changes, but that's mainly how it goes. My big meals were breakfast, pre workout and post workout/Originally posted by Resentment:huh? i dun get what u mean. can simplify it more to me? thx a lot
eh but everytime , when i have a heavy breakfast right? i will be too full to eat my lunch leh , so what kind of food and workout should i eat and do? but i already bought the protein leh. how?Originally posted by eagle:you need to double to triple your intake of food. According to the website, the amount of calories per serving is too little (220 calories). Ideally, you should take in 2000 to 3000 calories a day, or more, depending on your goals, body size and caloric expenditure.
Remember, your body only uses what you ingest to repair and grow when there's a need to do so. Whatever that is not needed will be ejected from the body.
Define heavy breakfast. I was literally stuffing myself every meal.Originally posted by Resentment:eh but everytime , when i have a heavy breakfast right? i will be too full to eat my lunch leh , so what kind of food and workout should i eat and do? but i already bought the protein leh. how?
i mean sometimes like i eat at around 9-10am then my lunch will start at 11-12 , and i dun eat a lot , 4 piece of zhui kueh ( the saltd turnip kueh) i think u noe right? yeah and what shld i eat? last time i use to eat 2 boil egg every elternate day. but now i stopped already. and yeah as my previous thread , i already bought my isobolic , so how? can i still use it?Originally posted by Jem777:Define heavy breakfast. You need a better diet. My breakfast consists of 5 eggs+oats+milk+whatever fruits I have. Of course I eat earlier in the day at around 7am, then the snack 2 hours later at 9-10. Use it if you wish, though you probably don't need it. In 2 years of lifting and playing sports I've never gone beyond whey, multi, creatine and the occasional casein.Originally posted by Resentment:i mean sometimes like i eat at around 9-10am then my lunch will start at 11-12 , and i dun eat a lot , 4 piece of zhui kueh ( the saltd turnip kueh) i think u noe right? yeah and what shld i eat? last time i use to eat 2 boil egg every elternate day. but now i stopped already. and yeah as my previous thread , i already bought my isobolic , so how? can i still use it?

Anyway, TS, you really need to improve your diet first. Don't worry about the protein yet; it won't expire so fast... Diet wise, you can change it within a day, so you should start doing from today.
Regarding food intake, if your exercise intensity and caloric expenditure is high enough, you will find that you will eat more and more. Even right now, I'm eating a meal as I type... And in your case, I believe you will need to take in a lot more carbs... Just eat a lot a lot more, twice to thrice your current amount as I have said... If you don't eat enough, extra protein will be broken down as energy, and not repair your muscles after a workout, which will be quite a waste...
4 piece of zhui kueh is damn little for lunch, and it isn't exactly very nutritious. At least have a bowl of fish soup; that's much better...
