I just found out this portion of the forum, and just when i need it. =D
I read one of the sticky post by eagle. Inside, it says that running doesn't help to lose body fats! o.o Rather, you'll only be wasting your muscle or so. Then the rest I dont quite understand alr.
I have been jogging for quite some time as I need to lose at least 10kg to be my ideal weight. And fast. I don't want to resort to pills or treatment as I prefer to go the natural way, (just like how i grew naturally fat -.-)
So, if i want to lose weight fast, besides my diet which I'm also taking note, what form of exercise can I do? I want just a little muscle, but not those scary ones, maybe, look tone can already. .
tell us your dietary habits daily, make sure it's one which you have almost every other day, do include the number of servings of vegetables plus fruits.
any extra supplements that you are consuming
as for your jogging, tell us how many minutes you jog per day, minutes of stretching, any weight lifting, and finally the intensity of the jog.
do include the number of hours of sleep you are getting each day.
eh, i don't know how you calculate like the servings and so. I just tell you the number of things I have.
Morning, 2 slice of ham and cheese sandwitch with a cup of milo.
Afternoon, One plate of rice with one meat, one vege, and maybe one fish/ small meat. Or sometimes a bowl of fishball noodle. All around this range.
Dinner, One bowl of rice, vege( but my mother don't really cook a lot, so I have very little vege), lots of fish. I eat half a fish, and the fish is quite big ._. But ppl tell me fish is healthy so its fine. And usually chicken and maybe like 4 times in a week, pork.
As to whats the amount of fish/ pork/ chicken/ meat, is like hawker centre they give that sort of servings.
I don't usually stretch. I cycle everyday to and fro to mrt. lol.
Jogging is for like once a week, 1hr. No stretching or what. They say it gives me muscles.
Then I swim once a week too. 1.5hrs.
Sleep is around 6-7hrs. Or sometimes, like once or twice a week is 5hrs plus.
go gym!! sweat it out with some stretching on that place...
Jogging once a week..too little I think.
Maybe 3/4 times a week would suffice, but it depends on the distance you run as well
jogging for 1 whole hour? or jog and walk for 1 whole hour?
u can try interval training ( dunno the name )... it is like SPRINTING (not jogging) 100m, then walk very very slowly the next 100m.. then SPRINT again for 100m.. keep repeating until u are really really tired out...
rmb to stretch b4 and after the run.. if u dun stretch b4 the run, ur muscle cant really work best and end up u run lesser and u burn lesser fats...
if u dun stretch after running, ur muscle feels more tired and cramps might occur... next few days u cant run then u end up burning lesser fats...
bulky muscles are built over YEARS (at least 2 yrs) doing weights training... u think it is easy to build up muscle ar?
as for meal.. stop eating those stuff that is little but makes u hungry... why they say vegetable good for diet, not that eating vegetable makes u slim... ALL food makes u fat in a way.. vegetable is that it is not so fatty compared to other food and makes u feel more full then u wont have to eat more later...
when i trying to slim down, which work effectively, i eat cereals... 1 bowl per meal.. an cereal bar.. when i have a need to cure the extreme hunger i am having (for example after workout nv eat for long time).. well i dun eat cereal every meal, but i eat around for 1 to 2 meal... cereals as in those healthy type, not those put a lot sugar sweet sweet one...
i assume u are a girl since u dont wan to get muscles... just a note that GENERALLY, man like woman who have a bit of muscle... looks more healthy and sporty.... muscles at calf, thigh, and biceps are greatly welcome...
if u are a man, go do gym workout, why u so scared have muscle? can control how big u wan ur muscle to be... it is TOTALLY NOT EASY to build up bulky muscles...
and doing exercise once a week is TOOOO little if u wanna slim down... working out in gym are counted as exercise too... so u have to exercise at least 3 times a week... each time at least 2 hours..
if u cannot 2 hour at one goal... then 1 hour but around 5 times a week... and rmb.. sprint not jog... lidat u burn more fats, ur muscle will form but NOT bulky... just the shape is there..
jogging once a week ain't gonna lose you any weight

Hi, I found out that for jogging, what they meant is slow and steady jogging.
Running is a different story ;)
But building some muscles would be good. It can help to burn excess calories off during resting time...

if staying fat is healthier then fat people would be immortals.
Im also looking to lose weight Imy wieght is about 84kg but not that fat because of my height I go to the gym at least 4 times a week and use the treadmill about 20mins and lift some weight my arms are actually getting hard the bicep area especially what kind of diets is usually good to have?

It's actually about intensity... If you find jogging already very tiring, then just go ahead. Once you are fitter, then u shud go faster and faster
consume low carbs,
avoid sodium and trans fat foods.
