Hi all! I'm looking for a place with mats n stuff....those things that can help lessen impact when I fall. Also, preferably with alot of space. Cuz I'm into back flips, handstands, and all those related stuff...If I'm not wrong they call it tricking
So the best place would be a gymnasium? As in those that are really for gymnastics...not those with work out equipment Anyone knows of a good place? Please tell me here (I live in the east of SG, so preferably somewhere close)
Also....I'm thinking of whether I should join gymnastics or find any kind of instructor to teach me this kinda stuff...for now I can do: no hand cartwheel, handstand (I can walk for about....20 metres should be easy), butterfly twist and.....lots of simple moves that aren't worth mentioning :X And if so, any recommendations?
Thank you thank you in advance Any tips or help would be greatly appreciated
bishan stadium gymnasium (not sure still there or not..... maybe shifted to delta)
HCI gymnasium
full competition-standard equipment
got crash mats, pits, runways
got to pay to use the premises
and it's better to have a coach
A nice grass patch should work fine if you don't want to travel or pay the entry fee. A gymnastics coach would be useful for the twisting and flipping aspects of tricking, but you'd be lacking in the kicking area (the roots of MAT, basically). Either take up gymnastics and martial arts classes if you can afford the fees and time for what is essentially a hobby, or just watch videos and drill the techniques yourself (smartly, of course, so you don't get injured).
I take it you've already read the articles on http://www.trickstutorials.com/.
