Held in celebration of the International Women’s Day, this inaugural run to be held on 20th March 2011, Sunday, is an all-female competitive cross-country team run.
It has a unique ‘age-factor’ which allows the team with a higher combined age an advantage over the rest of the ‘younger’ teams. Hence, a minimum combined age per team is imposed to encourage a good mix of cross-generational women runners per team. And the minimum combined age limit is ‘83’ as 8th March is celebrated globally as the International Women’s Day (IWD).
As the inaugural run, SAA is making this more intimate and are targeting only 150 teams of 3 Venuses per team. For this privileged group of 450 runners, a 5km cross-country race at the scenic Bedok Reservoir is organized together with some post-event fringe activities.
Each participant will receive a commemorative Event Tee-shirt as part of their pre-race pack and a Goodie-bag as they complete their run. Winners of the team run can look forward to unique prizes and keepsakes!
