A Place to Crash

Being single, I go out by myself very often. However, it always feels rather weird and uncomfortable to be sitting in restaurants and pubs by myself, surrounded by loving couples and happy families and chatting friends.
So I'd just like to ask whether anyone knows of places where one can be alone and yet not feel awkward? -
We r not meant to be alone 1... Therefore, it is normal we will feel awkward when we see couples and families... It is not the location tat make u feel awkward but it is the mentality... ><
Well, if it is me and I really want to be alone, I will take a midnight walk during weekdays... look in the sky, enjoy the cold dense air, listen to animal fa(3) chun(1) in the night ><
U feel awkward in the pub??? This is strange... usually, pub wont let people feel awkward 1... In fact, pub is more a place for single guys' hang out... OH.... tat also depends on what type of pub u r going lah.... Pub will lose buisness sia if people feel awkward there... So, most pubs will employ girls to keep accomany to those customers... But if u r the quiet type of guy, then , u may have to go with friends to this place...
Generally, Singapore pubs have no standard 1...
Malaysia pubs more standard... I only go once but I m
... The pub tat I go in malaysia has two storey but omg in the pub flood with girls sia... The girls r prettier and somemore, the beer is cheaper... lol.. I must make it clear : (the girls in pub is as innocent as people who go clubbing >< ) Then, in the pub, they have corners for people to watch soccer and spacious--- very high standard 1...
haha... I still remember there is a gal who wear a white shirt and mini blue jeans type skirt in tat malaysian pub. The gal's chest is actually pushing the white shirt to the max till the buttom of the shirt is inclined to 45 degree upwards. Then, somemore this gal in the pub is playing billard in front of me and my friend... WA... whenever, the gal is taking her shot , the buttom is like nearly going to pop up sia but in the end never pop up
Where is tat place??? I dont noe also... Coz, it is been years since I go there liao... Tat time is also my friend bring me go 1... haha... sorry sia... only can share experience... >< -
I've been to that sort of pub in Singapore before, and I didn't like it at all. Actually I prefer hotel bars instead. Been to Bugis' Hotel Intercontinental? Their lounge plays live jazz. Then, it is difficult lah... Coz, everywhere u go , u will bound to see couples and families 1... Unless, yr mind is being occupied... I also feel awkard if i go to pub by myself... the more friends the more merrier.. that's why we are here to recruiting those singles to make friends.... u know what i mean???

Seriously, it will makes u feel better... tat is what some of my friends r doing...
But for me, it makes me feel worse being a volunteer in old folk's home -

to me.. go anywhere alone is fine de..
coz im alrd used to it..
i can go to the beach, cinema, concert, fast food restaurant/food court, shopping alone without feeling awkward.. -

I remember I went to the old folk's home in yishun to help out in christmas party many many years ago... u think I m very helpful??? nah... Actually, volunteering to old folk's home can get to go home early ><
I also remember clearly that the environment changes dramastically once the bus get pass the gate of old folk's home... The environment in old folk's home is very disturbing to me... It is like entering a dead town where every1 living there is waiting to die off... The only thing tat seems life is the fish in the pond, u can hear clearly the water gushing down the fountain and birds chirping... tat's all... Coz, it is dead quiet(no life) in broad daylight... And when, u get to see those residents there, u can feel their sorrow, their helplessness and their lonelyness in their eyes...
Actually, with my initial intention, I was also feeling very paiseh.. So try to help out as much as can... Some old folks will try to put up a smile to u when u offer them help... Majority are not really interest in the christmas party... Actually, most of them wants accompany 1... Some1 to talk to... Their love ones love...
In the end, I end my day telling myself three things :
1) I will never step into old folk's home with or without benefit
2) I will never let my parents go into old folk's home... over my dead body
3) I may consider commiting suicide if some1 is going to throw me into old folk's home...

But seriously, being a volunteer in old folk's home is a really good place to kill yr loneliness---> provided u noe how to speak dialect
Coz, from yr type of lonely is nothing compare to their type of lonely...
U will more likely to understand tat there r many other things to achieve in life...
hmmm... tat is the testimonial tat given by friends and me lor... <--- Only thing difference is my friends volunteer with a true heart... I volunteer for my own benefit... -

Yes, I don't feel awkward if I'm actively doing something, like shopping or watching movies. hmmmm why not take the attitude of enjoying company instead of taking the attitude of being comfortable with loneliness?
You can say: "I feel awkward alone... I need to hang out with other people" or "I feel awkward alone and I need to go to place where I do not fell awkward being alone" -
I feels saD.. coz no girls... I feels unhappy.. coz no charbo but i feels glad coz no ah gua...
