Juz be what you are..... purpose of dates is not so much as to score points but to let the other party find out who you really are and to get comfortable with. Thus, acting as another person you are not only defeats the purpose.........

That's very good contribution, fellas!
What I will normally do is
1) To be myself yet highlight some of my best attributes. (If u look good when u smile, smile. But don't try to look like an idiot/ dork when the situation doesn't call for a smile!)
2) At least dress more appropriately. (Clothes do matter, coz u never know where ur date is bringing u to.) -

- confident
- sweet tongue (women love it)
- no stutter
2. turn-out bearing
- the way you dress reflects on ur character
- attire's suitability with venue

Confidence is definitely a turn-on. But there is only a thin line between Confidence and Arrogance. Be mindful. -

Take the effort to look good....don't go over the top with it....just look presentable....
Take the effort to plan the date out....no need for every single detail to be picture perfect....but just to show that thought was put in to the planning....
Take the effort to LISTEN when conversing.....show an interest....if the topic gets a little boring, spice it up a little...but never put her/him down even if it was meant to be a joke....
I repeat....make the effort.....cuz thats what really shows on a first date.
Remember that the other person is as nervous as you are.....take him/her off the pedestal you have them on in your mind and interact with them at eye level....Be yourself....Make them like you as you are....
Above all....have fun....a person who knows how to have fun is fun to be with. -
