  Last weekend, I met up with some friends to celebrate a birthday. One of the guys had a rather shocking and sad revelation. He had just broken up with his girlfriend of 3 months. She was the one who initiated it, and my poor friend was quite crushed by it. The girl did not really give any explanation, though my friend pleaded with her repeatedly. It was rather shocking to us, for only a few weeks ago, they were rather happy together, and she was the one who chased him in the first place.
  
  Sigh...it seems sometimes girls can be such incomprehensible, contradictory and fickle creatures. What happened to my poor friend has seemed to undermine even further whatever faith I still have in relationships...

  Nah...I'm not a person who would make such vows. It's just that I feel it is increasingly difficult to find someone whom you can really share the rest of your life with.

  dun look for one kind of gal tat still wanna go party, drinks n so on.. get a nice homely gal or who loves to play game.. well.. they will be alot better.. i guess.

  Some girls who goes to parties, drinks and socialise around make very good gfs.
  
  A nice and homely girl might not be a good gf when she is not being understanding as well..
  
  Bottomline is, get a gf who is understanding, in sync with ur thinking and work towards the future together.

  The girl who dumped my friend was a nice homely girl who did not party and did not drink...

  She wouldn't even tell my friend. Why would she tell us? Besides, I know my friend very well, and I can tell that he was pretty committed to the relationship. He's one of the nicest guys around, and I can't seriously imagine what he could have done wrong.
  
  But perhaps it might just be some clash of personalities issue. He's rather laid back, while she's a rather bubbly sort of girl. But as you say, if she doesn't tell her side of the story, it's rather difficult for us outsiders to comment.

  its better to be hurt in the short term than put in 3 years then find out that you both are not compatible.
