Christopher Pike was banned in my secondary school due to bad English and lucid sex scenes. Reader's Digest was banned as well because it's not exactly 'fiction'. Much better than this really warped tutor of mine. He made the class spend 45 minutes writing a haiku each. When we were done, we were told to tear it up in shreds and throw it away. Didn't even get to share it with anybody else. When some of us refused, he threatened to fail our module.
