In layman term, those so call 2 handles, are like 2 giant job stick, except that they only move forward or back ward. They are actually very simple mechanism and easier to manufacture. Both are brake stick. One to to brake the left side and the other to brake the right. If u wanna turn to the left, just pull the left stick toward urself, hence braking the left more and the vehicle turn left. If u wish to stop the vehicle, just pull equally on both stick.
It take alot of strength for an e-brake, same as driving a bus with no power steering, but worse when braking, coz most driver actually have to brace their foot on the floor and used his body weight when braking hard. -
