when i regained my "consciousness", i saw that the impact of my fall caused the handle of my cupboard to be broken, and now i have an acute pain at the back of my neck, whenever i look upwards.

dizzy spell is normally the result of waking up too fast or climbing out of bed too fast. Our normal heart beat hasnt got time it need to speed up from our slumber rate to the active rate. Hence the insufficient flow of blood and oxygen to our brain which often result in us losing consciousness.
At the sight of a dizzy spell, one should attempt to increases blood flow to the brain by lying down or sitting down. U can even try raising ur leg higher then ur head level. -

yeah don't mess around with the neck or spine. the only time i fainted, thankfully somebody was around and i missed hitting the wooden corners on the piano by inches.
just lie down first and if the pain persists tonight, get a consultation from the clinic doctor and take it from there. take care bunny. -
