Increased Singles in Singapore!

Hi Everyone,
there was an increase in percentage of Singaporeans still single and not married. This increase of percentage have worried Singapore Government in the future of Singaporeans that there will be an increase rate of elderly in the future staying alone or depend on one self.
Other than the single issue, the birth rate is decreasing and even married couple will only want to have one child. In the future, the working adults will work extra hard to sustain the increasing of elderly as the ratio of the working adults to the elderly will be 1:5 or increasing.
What is the cause of these two issues? Do give some views about it!

girls should not be educated so easier for guys to get married girls will stay at home and raise kids

Policies, cost of living and girls being more educated aside. I think another factor to consider is that the current generation are more self-centered. They won't want to burden themselves by starting a family as this means the lost of freedom. I myself cant imagine being tied down by family obligations, my parents are enough

When I walk the correct direction to the class & vice versa (going home), I never fail to see them doing so.The same goes to taking. Try to take buses during off-peak time, you can see them 'qin re' without a fail.
Wonder why they can still start the relationship despite having school works and UTs. But surprisingly, they do not neglect their studies though.

Because they have not started working in the real world. And when the money issue comes into play, hurhurhur another different story.

Some of former artistes prefer to divorce though.
