More Than 10,000 Jobs Up For Grabs At Career And Training Fair
KUALA LUMPUR, April 2 (Bernama) -- More than 10,000 jobs, both at home and abroad, will be up for grabs at the Malaysia Career and Training Fair 2010 (MCTF'10).
The three-day career fair, the largest organised by Jobstreet.com in collaboration with AIC Media and Events Group, will take off on April 16, Country Manager Chook Yuh Yng said Friday.
She said this year's fair will be incorporated with the Post Graduate Education Fair and Accountancy Career and Education Fair to further expose visitors to a wider choice of employers and education providers.
"This year's event will feature over 180 participating companies both private as well as government agencies.
"Among them are Resorts World Singapore, Panasonic, T-System, Philip Morris, Sime Darby and RBC Dexia," she told a press conference Friday.
According to Chook, over 90 per cent of the jobs will be offered by local firms, while the remaining from overseas players.
Walk-in interviews will also be held at the fair, along with career clinic and talks to help jobhunters improve their skills and knowledge.
"Our objective is to deliver top Malaysian talents to the participating employers, while ensuring jobseekers understand that continuing education is an important part of keeping our skills and knowledge level," William Ng of AIC Media and Events Group added.
Some 120,000 over visitors are expected to visit the MCTF '10 to be held at the Mid Valley Exhibition Centre here.
